The appointment of Official Receiver has

already been offered to Mr. Howard Flanders who

is now due back from America and is expected to

communicate his decision on the offer soon after

he arrives see Nos.140 and 141 on 25412 E. A.

Mr. Howard Flanders was selected on

783 Promotions which contains the vacancy form

for the post of Official Receiver sent up to

Promotions Branch. That form was prepared as a

result of the Governor's telegram of the 6th of

April (No.13 on 53625/36 with which this paper

should be connected) asking for a barrister in

the place of Mr. Hayden. It is clear, in the

light of the despatch on this file, that all

wished a barrister to be selected on the new time

scale as an Assistant Crown Solicitor in the
